The Woman in the Yard 2025
I didn’t have high expectations going in, especially considering the title, poster and trailers—but it really did surprise me.
It’s tense, beautifully shot and brilliantly acted (especially by the lead). With its short runtime, it never overstays its welcome and is engaging right from the very start.
It’s one of those movies where, as soon as the credits roll, you immediately start reflecting on all the small details woven throughout, piecing everything together.
That said, it’s a divisive film and won’t be for everyone—but I appreciate that about it.

I remember snagging this on sale for 2 quid when I was just a kid. Tesco had these rotating stands where they flogged DVDs for dirt cheap, and with my pocket money barely in the double digits, I thought “What a steal!”. Little did I know how much of a banger this movie would turn out to be.

Last Breath 2025
The film builds tension incredibly well, to the point where I caught myself gritting my teeth a handful of times. However, I did go in completely blind without any knowledge of the true events that transpired, so keep that in mind.
I just wish the beginning had fleshed out the main characters a bit more to give the emotional moments extra weight.
