    John Singleton's knack for depicting the most hateable possible scumbags is bananas. Between Bruce McGill in Rosewood and Snoop Dogg in Baby Boy it's hard for me to think of even a distant, distant third for antagonists in recent memory I've despised with such pure fucking rancor. These guys suck hardcore, and it's the undercurrent of reality, that these people existed and still do exist, that makes them even more pathetic and vile.
