  Godzilla Minus One 2023

  Godzilla Minus One takes the Godzilla franchise back to its roots, a commentary about the abject horror faced by the Japanese people in the face of the atomic bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. The film is a solid balance between story, and complete destruction of the environment that you expect from a Godzilla film.

  While not the best Godzilla film, it's shot really well, the SFX are good, I liked the characters, and it's certainly an entertaining watch.

  Must watch at least once.

  Apocalypse now offers a retelling of Conrad's Heart of Darkness, Set in the Vietnam war, the director uses the story to explore themes of imperialism, the absurdity and futility of conflict.
