  Felt like watching a forgotten memory the whole time. I couldn’t help but watch it in the lens of Social Network, Steve Jobs etc and it felt off. Not by much, but enough. Missing something. And funnily enough that was also the phone.

  Dead Man's Shoes 2004

  Ending secures the four stars. This is the type of movie that sticks with you, owning a distant part of your brain that peaks its head up every so often. Not like some other movies that have this effect, but memorable enough.

  It’s dated, it’s a little silly but overall it’s good. It’s certainly more a drama than perhaps crime or thriller despite the plot. It is pretty dark and grim.

  A good watch. I don't often watch many, if any classic movies. I always seem to think I'll be disappointed because it won't be in colour or won't have special effects or anything like that, but this was genuinely entertaining. It wasn't complex or excellent storytelling, but entertaining. It's not easy to make a movie that entertaining when it's primarily filmed in one room.
