It's not often I watch something said to inspire so many films and actually find something new from it, but, for the first time, I completely understand why Satyajit Ray is so acclaimed.
The shots and techniques used in this film felt so ahead of the time, especially paired with the themes and subject. It genuinely feels like a rare timeless movie to me, up there with 2001.
