  It is a general courtesy to watch this movie at least once a year; however, I don’t really love the ending for obvious reasons and I believe the opposite would’ve made this an absolute masterpiece.

  Through different angles, Porco Rosso emphasizes feminism and anti-fascist messages, but does not present Porco as the ideal character, which makes this animation my favorite of Miyazaki's. Also, I wanted to point out that English voice actors and actresses are equally good as Japanese ones, from Curtis to Fio, and even old ladies. I cannot recommend this more highly!
