The ultimate fight between father and son when evil meets ideology. Subharaj has the ability to make the scenes wacky and cool at the same time. Vikram just rocks.

"Orson Welles was only 26 when he made Citizen Kane. I'm already 30."

Easily Tim Burton's best movie. B&W cinematography made the film more beautiful. Johnny Depp was really great as ed wood. No matter how it turns out, you have to believe in your work. Being remembered as the worst is better than being remembered as nothing.

"You think you know devotion? Real devotion isn’t preached; it’s enforced."

Very strong dialogues and conversation from the writer. But the movie was too busy questioning beliefs and religions. Didn't connect with the characters. Felt like lots unfinished scenes.

"Why does the concubine have to die?"

'Farewell My Concubine' is one of the most epic and tragic film I've ever seen. A perfect portrayal of love, friendship and jealousy. Dieyi lived his whole life in opera because he knew he couldn't tolerate the theatre of life. And Xiaolou was deserved every tragedy of his life. Last of all, Leslie Cheung smoking opium is the cinema.
