  It's interesting how basic Korean films are as exciting as so called good American films. I'm a fan of Ma Ding - seok. I've seen him in quite a few movies and have enjoyed his work. He plays a pretty kick ass gangster. While this wasn't his best film, it was pretty darn entertaining. And that smile near the end as he got of the bus...SINISTER.

  "Mickey 17." is a cinematic experience that's basically a philosophical meltdown shoved into a spacesuit, with a side of "are we there yet?" pacing.

  Mark Ruffalo is as quirky here as he was in Poor Things and I loved every bit of it. He was borderline Trumpian in his foolishness, playing a character that's clearly been marinating in a vat of pure, uncut eccentricity. His energy levels? Off the charts.   I knew nothing about this movie prior to watching it. I'd never even heard of it until my friend mentioned it. From the title I assumed it was action/drama related. Yeah. No.

  What started out looking like an updated version of Swingers (love the dialog) turned into potential murder investigation that ended up being a tale of self reflection and a look into the way of life in Merica.
