The story begins in feudal Japan, where two samurai have been tasked with eliminating a ronin, a warrior who opposes the emperor. They are waiting for their opponent at the gate of a temple. Black Rain

    ★★★★★

One of the greatest movies by Ridley Scott. It is interesting to see the similarities between this and Blade Runner. Both have Japanese theme, sequins, neon lights, smoke and rain. Black Rain is the tighter and more "americana" than Blade Runner. Great actors and Kate Capshaw (Spielberg's wife) is smoking hot. I love this movie - including the tittle song by Gregg Allman "I'll Be Holding On"

Great film about a man who breaks free from the shackles of conformed society by destroying all of his information on central database (?) and moving to Lapland to live as hermit. I also like the English title of this film - The Year of the Hare.
