A Haunting in Venice 2023
A haunting in Venice was a very enjoyable and entertaining watch - the film had a very theatrical feel with a very classic style. The film was beautifully shot with very dramatic and retro style of editing and pacing. A great cast as well - Tina Fey was amazing as usual and it was nice to see Michelle Yeoh potray a character so different from her others. Detective films are so comfy to watch and this was no exception- really enjoyed it.

Really fun and nostalgic film with a great soundtrack - it was very cool seeing all the old toys make an appearance! One of the final scenes with Ruth, Barbie and Billie Eilish's song really hits home and makes you think of the women in your life. Absolutely perfect! Again I was amazed by Christopher Nolan's pure talent in storytelling. As usual with Nolan the cast was perfect and seeing Cillian Murphy in the leading role for the first time in a Nolan film was well worth the wait and an amazing performance. Robert Downey Junior and Florence Pugh also portrayed their character amazing in roles I'd say were quite different from there normal choices. The scene after the bomb dropped was spectacular the silence in the cinema was an initial shock but extremely powerful. The cinematography also shined as expected an absolute masterpiece!

By far my favourite of the guardians franchise and super heart warming! James Gun has mastered the ratio of serious to comedic moments. The character development across the guardians film came to a lovely conclusion and Rockets backstory was perfect.
