I fell in love with Anora and at times wanted to get out of my seat and scream with her. There has only been one other movie that’s made me THIS stressed, this intertwined in the chaos. That movie was Uncut Gems.
I’ll think about the last scene in the car for a long time. Windshield wipers as the score for that scene was *chefs kiss*
As president of the long movie haters club, I really thought this one was gonna be a no.
I couldn’t have been more wrong. If this doesn’t win cinematography I will be shocked. SO many incredible shots that will stick with me for a long time.
The “around the room” snippets while the main conversations were happening— tight shots of hands holding glasses, shadows on cave walls — all of it made me feel like I was there wandering around…

In all seriousness, while cheesy, this was a movie that felt like a REAL classic movie. Heartfelt, action packed, and incredibly entertaining to watch. The in flight scenes were unreal.
War/action movies aren’t really my thing, but Top Gun will always be a classic fav

I loveeeeee a religious drama. A religious drama with Stanley Tucci? Hold my beer.
I expected to like this movie and that held true. Probably my favorite best pic so far but that’s not saying much because the Academy is sick in the head.
The shot through the window as he stands at the turtle pond after returning it (and hearing the crowd cheer for white smoke) was definitely my favorite.
