    Actually was consistently surprised by the plot the entire time!! The DETAILS! Love a dope book adaptation!!! (although I never read the book. but I can tell, based on the amount of complex detail in the writing, it was based on a book).

    I love Sofia Coppola for being unapologetically herself. Her films are strangely touching and worship such specific aesthetics and for that I appreciate her. But they also lack some level of … deep diving that I usually like in a film. In some ways she refuses to penetrate the inner worlds of her characters. It almost feels like it’s out of respect for them. But its not always my jam.
