Practice Makes Perfect!
The script is much better than the cinematography. Watching Banshees of Inishiren, I have the privilige of watching In Bruges and thinking "Martin Mcdonagh has definitly become a better director".
If you want to see a great movie then see Banshees. It has the same main two actors in similiar roles and the film addresses similar issues. If, like me, you want to see how a director can become better over time, and how practice makes perfect, then you should definitely watch In Bruges.

A Serious Man 2009
Is doing nothing, actually doing something?
Symbolism at it's best!
The Coen Brothers wonderfully depict the juxtaposition of faith (in this case, the Jewish faith), and modern life (in this case, American life). And though I'm not Jewish nor American, the existentialist questions at the heart of A Serious Man hit close to home.
At the end you'll be left wondering, "What does it all mean?", "Do actions have consequences?", and "Is doing nothing, actually doing something?".
Like any amazing…Translated from by
