  WTF?! First part was so fun. I smiled all the way trough and now I’m crying my eyes out… thought this would be a cute and tender love story but fuck tenderness this was brutal!!!

  This was a fantastic feature-length debut from Charlotte Wells. A project that seems so incredibly personal and intimate. Beautifully directed, and shot, and the performances, oh boy. Paul Mescal is great in this, but I think Frankie Corio kinda steals the show with her authentic and physical performance. 

  Will definitely rewatch it sometime soon

  Raging Bull 1980

  MO:
  Amazing film! Masterfully shot and edited, so many creative techniques and choices. I don't think I've seen a Scorsese film that impressed me like that (on a technical level, anyways).
  Deniro and Pesci are really great in this, especially in how different their characters and performances are compared to something like Goodfellas.

  I found this film to tackle a lot of the themes I already knew a loved from films like Taxi Driver:
  Masculinity, violence, alienation and plenty more.…
