Nah them being on separate sides of the ice rink, that made me cry. The parallel to life and death there, just too good.
The metaphor developed by the clocks throughout the movie really drive home the message of the film, “What do you do with the time you have left?” The stopwatch, iPhone timer, competition clock, it’s all just one big metaphor for the finite time we have left.

Beautiful animation with a breath taking art style that I can only imagine was constructed through the assistance of acid. Score was super solid too, every aspect of this film felt very creative. Just imagine what the French could do with the budget of a Pixar film.
