So I liked the premise. The movie is extremely dated but that is part of the charm. I will say the ending is very 80’s in a bad way. I like the idea that standing up is what allowed Marty’s father to be successful and happier l. But to frame being successful as Marty’s mother being thin and the family having a lot more money and physical good like the truck rub me the wrong way. It was cool watching this in an unconventional theater tho.
