Really enjoyed the visuals and whimsy of the film. It made me feel like a little kid, and I was wondering where it would go. However, some of the elements felt rushed and I felt a little confused with the ending and what it meant for the characters. Particularly with "turnip head".

Without reading the book I feel some of the plot significance was lost on me, though I enjoyed the visuals and the characters I felt myself wondering what the overall message was meant to be- especially in terms of Laurie.
