I’ve always been a fan of Nolan’s non-linear storytelling, and I thought the addition of the black and white to denote the most current storyline was a nice touch.
I sometimes have a gripe with the sound mixing in his movies. The dialogue is quiet and the action is loud. That is no less true in this film, but I actually think it worked in its favor and really highlighted Oppenheimer’s detachment and internal turmoil.
