  A wild frickin ride. The scenes before Nick and Honey’s arrival and at the bar were absolutely intoxicating. It dipped in a few places and couldn’t quite always hold onto its intensity. Elizabeth Taylor is an absolute queen.

  A movie that will undoubtedly get your heart pounding. Whiplash is gripping from start to finish. Damien Chazelle captures the very unique stress associated with striving for perfection and the abusive forces which fuel that feeling. The editing is sharp and purposeful. The sound mixing is incredible. Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons are at their best.  Even better and more intoxicating on the second watch.
