suspenseful but also the ending felt like a cop-out? like yes it was because of the devil but why???? like what’s the motive??? overall a beautiful movie actually with the cinematography. the shots were just uncomfortable enough. i was prematurely wincing the whole movie because i had no idea where it was going. would recommend but wish there was more to it

The dichotomy of nature and the brutalism of the city is so jarring yet beautiful. When he’s in the hustle and bustle of the city, he’s washed out by neon colors (usually blue or purple). When he’s in nature and in more secluded he’s usually lit up in super warm sunlight or a a warm light source. This could be completely me just reading too much into things but I think there’s symbolism in those choices.…
