Heretic 2024
cracking film it’s so insane seeing hugh grant in a role like this but i adored it. hearing him call people NPC’s wasn’t something i thought i needed in my life but there we are. some great actual theological discussion paired with some really fun horror/thriller. some of the themes that played throughout the film felt slightly overplayed but i’ll let it off because these days i think some people need the extra explanation to feel media literate (myself included sometimes)

I really enjoyed just how depraved this movie got, and while I understand the surrounded context of this film and filmmaking horrors behind the scenes, i don’t think it can be dismissed Just how artistic this film is. I love gore I love horror I love reaping what was sowed and how Everyone suffers from generational problems thanks to the power imbalances that colonisation brings and continues to bring even when the culprits are allegedly attempting to amend or understand it better
