You know, the more I see of Robert Pattinson, the more I realise my hatred for him because of Twilight was unwarranted. Here's a guy who since his breakout gothic fantasy role has molded himself into one of the most versatile actors today; whether it'd be a deranged lighthouse keeper, to the freaking Batman, to now a dorky yet likeable space worker with multiple clones of himself (and he's predictably great)

This is a rare example where an 'Americanized, less hardcore Hollywood' remake of a foreign film made for a far more enjoyable watch.

It's the same set up as the original, though it's more darkly funnier, it's more entertaining, less grim and infuriating and the protagonists were more relatable and likeable (though that wasn't hard).

The complete change of pace in the third act to a full-on Straw Dogs esque siege is welcomed.
