  The movie creates a interesting post apocalyptic world and the first half develops this world really well. However, Hiphop Aadhi’s character feels underwritten and seems like the only smart and kind person in the group bringing too much unnecessary heroism. Director deserves praise for using Natarajan's villain actions brilliantly but his performance in the second half feels too preachy and doesn’t match his intense villainism from the first half. The population of Tamil Nadu appears much smaller than it actually is making some scenes feel staged. Munishkanth once again delivers his comedy with lots of fun. Overall, it’s an interesting attempt .

  The director seems to have underestimated the audience and included some clichéd scenes in the first half from the recently re-released movies. I still wonder why the Mumbai portion was included, as it had no impact on the hero after the interval; it felt like a ploy to fit "oru Naalil" into the movie.
