It's ridiculous that so many (mostly cis) people view this film as transphobic. As a trans person, Dil is one of the most well-written trans characters I've seen on screen. She's so devastatingly real. Dil is never displayed to the audience as disgusting or mannish. She's extremely beautiful, feminine and delicate. She's just shown as-is.
