  Such a wonderfully comforting and hopeful film. Watched this while undergoing a very bad bout of vertigo, this movie stilled me enough without making me stuck in place. Provided a warm blanket to my less than cozy state.

  I’ve always found men, usually younger men, identifying with Patrick Bateman interesting. The major point of his character is being a caricature—an empty puppet. He’s not even a suave, cool puppet—it’s evident by the end that they all think he’s an idiot. But these boys in these “bro” spheres all seem to gravitate towards this nothing-man. The culture itself is vapid, so filigree with nothing that all that remains is an absence of identity…hence the erection of Patrick Bateman into the manosphere. 

  Such is smartly stupid—just like this movie.
