    Great phenomenal performance by jennifer hudson, although this biopic is made by the most standard biopic guidelines, maybe a bit too long and didn't really bring something new to the genre, but overall stays a great tribute and good insight into Aretha's life.

    I totally forgot Joel Edgerton was in this, didn't recognise him for the entire film! Imagine my face at the closing credits..
    It's true that one of the good things about cinema is that allowes many points of view, thoughts and interpretations, and that was really interesting to see how Scott pictured it. Overall I'd say the way some things have been portrayed was pretty realistic.
