Go ahead. Just try to convince me that the Israeli government isn’t pure evil.

This movie is labeled as a horror film, and after watching its shocking third act, I understand why. I Saw the TV Glow shows the audience that one of the true horrors that can come from life is living it while refusing to accept who you really are. This film's terror derives from the blurry line between dream and reality which is personified by Ellen Hutter (Lily-Rose Depp). She is plagued by nightmares and is cursed by the titular character. Nobody believes her though.

It's fine. The first act leaves a lot to be desired with not following the "show don't tell" mantra that's the hallmark of any, at least, decent film. I also think some of the Deadpool-esque fourth wall breaks and pop culture references don't really make for good "adult" humor. Whether or not I found a joke or bit funny I don't think matters though. Humor is very subjective, but it bugs me when a gag deviates from the plot too…
