It is an increasingly rare thing for a horror or horror-adjacent movie to keep me up at night, for its scenes to leave with true dread and fear. That is the case with this film. As someone who is in a long term and loving relationship, I WAS Rex Hofman as i watched this. I searched, I hoped, I dreaded.
Masterfully immersive and natural, with equally masterful use of symbols. I didn’t want to know the end, and it will be a long time before i watch this again, if I ever do.
