Stunning. I wept in the theater, over multiple cocktails after the screening. and as I went to bed that evening. Flawless execution. Practically a transmission of consciousness. On the level of a novel. Incredible use of the medium to portray memory, loss, the act of being placeless. Greta Lee portrays the caught-in-between feeling brilliantly and Teo Yoo does beautifully sensitive work.

Have often found Nolan's technique overbearing, exhausting, and stimulative at the expense of feeling. While some of his usual tendencies find their way into Oppenheimer, the story here is simply unmatched. It is, to my mind, the best source material he has ever worked with. The bomb testing sequence is a cocktail of human ingenuity and limitation. A portrait of how we transcend fear by creating something fearful.
It's an extraordinary sequence, one of many. Cillian Murphy carries the movie…
An astonishing work. Make no mistake - this is an extraordinarily serious film. It will haunt me for the rest of my days. Best performance of Colin Farrell's career. Barry Keoghan is devastatingly good. Martin McDonagh keeps his usual macabre surprisingly subdued, instead choosing to remain locked in on the scariest question of all: who will remember us when we are gone? What must we do to make anyone care that we once walked the earth? What a sophisticated masterwork this is.
Loved the cast, especially Pete Davidson. Paul Dano filled the role with earnesty. Good snapshot of what January 2021 was like. Although the movie's effort to elevate Gamestop traders to the status of noble proletariat felt strained and not entirely factual. The truth is they just liked to gamble. Characters were very likable and fun though.
