--"What have you been doing?"
-"Killing time... It won't die."
(Searching for the Wrong-Eyed Jesus, 2004)
don't know how to precisely feel about this film. I liked many of the choices they made towards the story progression, but the filmmaking sometimes left me cold (no pun intended).
It felt like a Hollywood production sincerely trying to be the opposite. Or maybe even the other way around. I know really vague...
Liked the second half way more to my surprise. At first it really just throws you in deep water with some very bad exposition and dialogue and this kinda vanishes in the second half where everything gets more enticing.
Has some good bits. Has some bad bits. 6/10
This movie is the biggest fever dream I've ever seen.
Just the sheer of absurdism in this movie is obscene!
If you're on drugs or you're not this shit will get you higher
surprised that this movie was made after taxi driver with this budget.
I love how Scorsese portrays New York in his many depictions of the city and this is one of my favorites.
