Ready or Not 2019
While the action sequences were fun, and the premise of the story was really interesting, it was all a bit underwhelming. The writing itself was awful and the dialogue was terrible. The movie was filled with so many cliches, you'd think a child made it. So I searched the directed and found that he made the new scream movies, which makes perfect sense.

While this is by no means Eggers' best---it's very close---this was, to me, the final climax to his dark religious mysticism. We've been teased before in films like The Witcher and The Lighthouse, but now, I can finally watch a Robert Eggers' film in which I can really feel how fictional and improbable the story I'm watching is, and go through every reaction just the same as I did with The Lighthouse or The Witcher. Love Actually 2003
This movie was so fucking awful it's unbelievable. It treats the watcher like they're halfwits. How is this a Christmas movie? I don't understand millennials' fascination with it. Also, what's that bit about "Harriet" and the American girls? It made no sense and served no purpose, could've absolutely been removed and the movie wouldn't have changed, if not improved. Calling this movie a rom-com all time great is outrageous. Waste of very talented cast.
