All three of these films are garbage and I’m tired of pretending they’re not.
Yeah this was not great. I don’t know what’s more disappointing, that the film fails to carve its own identity at every opportunity or that it’s directed by the man behind the fantastic evil dead remake. This film serves as an uninspired rehash of the very first film which is undoubtedly a much better film than this. First Hitchcock and it’s a doozy. A remarkable story that had me on the edge of my seat throughout. The film has a way of building intrigue through the most minuscule of details which even the most attentive of viewers could overlook and uses these details to craft a mystery that is enticing in its inception and satisfying in its conclusion.
