  Just one of those movies that makes you say in your head over and over, “damn this movie’s good.” I’m sad to say that I haven’t seen nearly enough of Hackman’s work, but have always known that he’s terrific and one-of-a-kind.   Might be the funniest movie of the year. The ultimate conveyance of: our leaders are only concerned with petty bullshit and their respective legacies to address anything meaningful while the planet falls apart. Perhaps downplays the extent to which these leaders are just plain evil, but it’s a worthwhile trade to see the prime minister of Canada depicted as an angsty overgrown teenager tortured by his dramatic love life.
