10/10 for visuals, but putting a child actress in scenes of casual incest and sexual assault means this is a 0/10 for morals. Confusing plot and whimsical characters from start to finish; probably the most fucked up film I've seen.

I adored the lighting in Phool's temporary abode - the gentle sunlight, orange tones, slower pace... Some beautiful cinematography snuck in amongst humour and slight clichés.
It's nice to watch things that don't glorify unnecessary violence, that explore very different life paths without forcing them to compete, that cradle kindness and emotionality without portraying them as weakness.Translated from by

Desert Coffee 2017
'Grime' this and 'filth' that, but some of these guys still have a lot more peace in their demeanor than people trapped in cities and swarmed by loneliness. Seems yet another flawed way of living, as are most things, but with some valuable lessons in the importance of community-building and knowing one's neighbour.
