one of the single best scenes in a movie i’ve ever seen, followed shortly after by another one of the single best scenes in a movie i’ve ever seen.

i can't believe this movie was actually pretty good. i laughed at the quips. i got close to emotional. lots of fun! not expecting much more.

i can’t believe how much i like this movie as a movie and dislike it as a finale to mission impossible. wish there wasn’t so much time spent on drama with characters i didn’t care about, wish there was more conclusiveness and a real sense of finality, wish more time was spent with characters that mattered.
and yet it has the most batshit insane action in the entire franchise so there we have it.
i feel like it's rare that something i watch is so simultaneously dark and twisted while being so whimsical and comforting.
i don’t think i will ever be the same person again

that scene with jimmy scott singing sycamore trees in the s2 finale may be one of the greatest moments in all of fiction
i adore every part of this movie except
the gay rape stuff
and tarantino making himself say the n word for funsies
