Moonrise Kingdom 2012
Another great wes movie. Not my favourite of his but it was pleasant and sweet. Some scenes were a bit polanski-pilled though if you catch my drift, kinda suss, didnt fw that. Anyway overall p good.

Very cool. Epic Eggers moment. I love the language they use, totally immersive but still totally parseable. Eggers’ films always do a cool job of portraying superstition and the occult. Epic gothic dark fantasy. Personally i like The Lighthouse more than this, but i like this more than The VVitch.

Man this was disappointing. Epic set and props and such, story wasn’t even tooo miserably awful, but at no point was it even remotely scary. The games do such a good job of making the animatronics scary, by building atmosphere in fairly subtle ways, whilst this movie totally fails, and makes them totally goofy.
There were definitely a few good moments and i overall did have fun and enjoy watching it, but it could’ve been much better, even at only…Translated from by
