House 1977
A new favorite. Queer, surreal, playful, earnest, and passionate. Both highly respectable and abundantly entertaining. Unabashed creativity seeps through every scene in this film. I don't believe for a moment that this film is a product of some haphazard amateur craziness- This was crafted with intent. While House is certainly a bizarre experience, it is absolutely wrought with deliberation. Visually stunning, surprisingly touching, and intensely memorable. Entirely up my alley, hope to unearth some more gems like this soon. Kung Fu (and Mac) deserved better.
