easily second best marvel movie (tws supremacy remains unshakeable) if it hadn't come, like five years too late. as it is, a solo movie about mcu's second most complex and tragic character (bucky barnes you will always be famous 🫶🏻) who's already canonically suffered a devastating and pointless death seems also a bit, well, pointless. the stakes are extremely low, and marvel's allergic-to-earnestness shtick stopped landing back in, like, 2018. which is a shame!! bc this stupid found family in all its fucked-up, homicidal glory got me GOOD
