I still think that this flails ever so slightly in comparison to Infernal Affairs, possibly because of its length and a certain air of indulgence. It is way funnier than the original, and Scorsese's got a tight handle on its execution. Here we're a bit more frank about the inherent corruption that sees these two moles having such transformatively different life experiences. Costello is possibly the ugliest man ever put to screen.
