East of Eden 1955
First James Dean film.
Really a gripping story, the cinematics are quite good as well, with the liberal use of Dutch angles to intensify that tension.
The story is moving, but not in a saddening or romantic way, more so in a deep disturbance, exactly the description of not being able to look away from a crash.

Blade Runner 1982
(Directors Cut)
I recommend this version watch the directors cut as it includes scenes that were scrapped/censored.It was interesting to see Harrison Ford play a character who is supposed to be somewhat hollow, yet has more depth than his Han-Solo or Indiana-Jones.
Beautifully poetic, and awesome.
The set and scenes were jaw dropping especially considering its time.
Psychologically horrifying as is any good sci-fi/thriller.The movie turns into a horror/ action film towards the end before dying down into a poets view on modernity.
