one of the worst movies i’ve allowed myself to watch in full. and not even for the sake of misrepresentation of eds, it just had a shitty plot. the acting was bad. the script was bad. the romance subplot was bad. the metaphors were bad. it was all bad. characters were introduced and not resolved. some characters weren’t even introduced. it sucked. genuinely horrible. i don’t even know why i bothered.

easily one of my favorite movies ever, but not for any major artistic, cinematic, or directive reason. it’s a stacked cast with a shitty script and that makes it the perfect amount of camp. i think it makes fun of itself the perfect amount as well. i can appreciate how the wlw subplot didn’t feel too fetish-y (in comparison to other mainstream wlw media), and of course matt dillon was hot as always. wish the kevin bacon/matt dillon makeout scene…
