    Captain America: Brave New World

Stuffed full of cringey dialogue and shallow characters, Brave New World resembles a true low point in the MCU. Harrison Ford is surprisingly enthralling amongst an otherwise misaligned cast of characters that feel utterly pointless. The films focus on tying up loose ends in the franchise completely distracts from what should've been a progressive regeneration of the MCU and Captain America.

  • Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy

    ★★½

Whilst Mad About The Boy packs an emotional punch with its focus on a grief, it mostly stumbles its way across an overly long runtime to bring the Bridget Jones series to a partially satisfying end.

    Monkey Man

    ★★½

Monkey Man may be an action movie by name, but the lack of fights and the sluggish pacing are a recipe for disappointment, particularly for those expecting a 'John Wick like' film as promised by the trailer(s). With the focus on politics and culture, Dev Patel has already established himself as an exciting prospect as a director of lavishly shot and relevant films, so at the very least, those who don't enjoy Monkey Man can look forward to what he does next.

  • Juror #2

    Juror #2

    ★★★★

Well balanced between being a courtroom drama and a legal thriller, Juror #2 is a truly stimulating watch that constantly reveals new information for its audience to ponder. Nicholas Hoult shines amongst a superb cast and a mostly consistent script. The film loses its believability in its final third though and stumbles over the finish line sluggishly with an unfulfilling conclusion.
