I’m not sure why I expected Nick Cage to deliver anything but Nick Cage. And I’m not sure why I would ever want anything else. The story is interesting and Maika Monroe is always amazing.

Godzilla Minus One 2023
I can not believe this was made for 10-15 million dollars. The visual effects were pretty incredible, excluding the ridiculous tanks. Even that had its charm. I enjoyed the narrative, although the writing and dialogue were odd at times.
The sheer devastation caused by Godzilla feels needless and is almost more sorrowful than it is terrifying. I think this is the true beauty of this movie, the return of the beast to roots as an analogy for war and the atomic bomb.
