1917 is an incredible movie experience that deserves to be seen on the big screen. Director Sam Mendes deserves his second Oscar for this WWI picture that was shot to look like one continuous take. Two soldiers must cross enemy lines to go on a dangerous journey to warn another group of soldiers they are walking into a trap. There are some riveting, touching and amazing scenes in this movie as we follow these characters through these range of emotions from fear, anger and acceptance of their mission. 1917 is a terrific film experience.
