Watching this in anticipation of the 2nd one (which, after Napoleon, I am 100% convinced will be terrible)
Regardless, this was a good movie - really makes Rome out to be a larger than life concept instead of just a city which was pretty cool. Another movie where they build up the main antagonist to be the worst person of all time so you have to watch just to see them get destroyed, and boy do they ever

Certified classic, peak courtroom drama. A slow burn for sure but it builds so perfectly towards seeing the worst person of all time get destroyed at his own game.
And just when you think it's all about to come crashing down for this guy, he starts to make some really interesting points and you start to wonder if the world really would be better off with him behind bars. Outstanding stuff and incredible acting all around.
At this point if a movie has Tom Cruise pretending to be a cocky man in the Navy, no questions asked I'm watching it
