The Flash 2023
So, having just seen Across the Spider-Verse, I think I just had higher expectations with multiverse movies when viewing this. That said, this isn’t that great. The story and villain just could’ve been so much more interesting. I feel like for a Flash movie, there were a lot of underwhelming moments. Also the CGI is horrible. The only saving graces for it are seeing Michael Keaton back as Batman and Sasha Calle as Supergirl. There were some funny scenes too. Overall however, this wasn’t for me.

The Boogeyman 2023

I was legitimately scared by this movie. From the moment it started, I could tell this was a Stephen King story. I loved the dynamic of the family and how they all were identifiable characters. It was interesting to me how the monster in this preyed on the grief that the characters were feeling. The design of the Boogeyman was very interesting, and I’m glad they didn’t make it a speaking monster. The use of fear of the dark was also chilling. I hope more adaptations of King’s work take after this because it was legit horror.

Very great reintroduction to the Transformers. The movie is pure entertainment and a lot of fun, especially for fans of the franchise. It was great to hear Peter Cullen’s awesome voice again as Optimus Prime. The new additions to the team were all very fun too. I thought the human characters were cool but could’ve had a little more personality. I didn’t love how they killed off Bumblebee for most of the movie but his comeback was awesome. I wish…

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023
This movie is pure Spider-Man nostalgia. Everything about it hits all the marks on why we love the hero. The character development is superb, the action is amazing, and the animation is unlike anything I’ve ever seen! Definitely my favorite movie of the year. I am so happy I saw it and I cannot wait to see what they do next with these characters!
