Circling back to this one because sometimes you don’t give a movie the proper attention for the first time. On my first watch it was clear that the acting was really special, especially from Kieran Culkin. Upon a second watch, where I wasn’t distracted or looking at my phone, I realized the writing in this movie is fuckin unbelievable. The stories that are the most human are the ones that get me these days; can’t wait to see what Jesse Eisenberg does next as a writer/director.

Lady Bird 2017
Gave this another rewatch the other night and I gotta say this might be one of one my favorite movies to depict “youth”. Getting older is scary but it’s actually really cool to grow up with movies like this and watch it for the first time at 17 and again at 26 and have two completely different viewings.

The Big Sick 2017
Might be the most underrated love story of the 2010’s? Sweet, funny, smart, and touching.
