Early Lanthtymos that clearly foresahdows some of his later themes and opacue storytelling. But apart from some effective absurdist touches, he can't quite turn in into a coherent whole yet. It all feels way too aimless and letargic without a real point. Stylistically it still feels unprecice and relies too much on an unsettling hand held camera.

Lesbian Space Princess 2025
Wntertaining animation, about a lesbian space princes from planet Clitorius. Very colorful animation and pointed gener-humor, that still manages to strike an authentic chord among all the sillyness. The emotional troughline is very solid and at it's core it's basically a very believable and empowering break up story.

Works surpisingly well in the more intimate moments that focussing on the main characters issues, but overreaches when it tries to be an epic crime movie. When the director/screenwriter would have been comfortable to let go of his direct influences, there could have been more here. Especially the big heist scene, all though brilliantly staged, felt at war with the more intimate story it initially tries to tell. Also, the treatment of the female character (yes, singular!) is dissappointingly undercooked. But this is a boy's story after all...
