  Jfc this film has some annoying npcs
  But yeah, achingly beautiful. Makes me think of just how many connections were cut short by the horrible and damaging attitudes of  ‘50s society. Wonderful chemistry between the leads, and lovely cinematography

  For a film this epic and conceptual, it unfortunately felt quite unresolved, especially at the end. Sure, it was an open-ended conclusion that reflected life realistically, but it also felt somewhat rushed. I can appreciate it’s not too easy to wrap a nice little bow over such a lengthy film. And the film had its strong points in showcasing the way we develop as humans in relation to our environment, for better and worse. Maybe I just had enough of the American suburbia.

  To have had a connection with someone, to have a memory attached to them that you’ll keep forever, might just be enough. Even though, due to the circumstances of life, relationships can be cut short, maybe it’s enough to live with the dreams and nostalgia of that connection. Maybe through this, that person is still with you. Also the husband wrote a book called Boner ahah.
