Watching because of the best picture nom... I thought there were some interesting song sequences, but overall I couldn't resonate with anything going on, and I feel it's in poor taste and very disconnected to create a musical out of an ongoing kidnapping crisis.

Awesome Comedy/Thriller with some fun Sci-Fi elements. Asking some semi-serious questions about what our future will look like once hyper-realistic robots hit the consumer market. Will they be used for emotional support? Crime? Something worse? Sophie Thatcher is awesome, Jack Quaid and Harvey Guillén are hilarious. The pace of this is nearly perfect, never skipping a beat, giving you enough time to breathe between each shocking twist and hilarious moment. It helps with a run-time of 97 minutes, we always love a tight 90. Though it doesn't reach the depraved levels of Barbarian, this team has cooked up another fun time at the movies.

I'm not from the musical space of art and entertainment, and I had just watched the "Wicked" broadway musical the day before seeing this in theaters. I found this adaptation to be pretty good! I am not sure exactly what happened with the marketing of this film, but it seems like all of the colors got a lift after that weird "desaturated" trailer was spreading around the idea that this movie had to be a "realistic" interpretation of Oz.
